Good morning! We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. Our community has been through a lot over the past few months and I’m sure you are as ready as we are for our normal habits and routines to return.
As you have noticed in the past, my staff and I have always been extremely up-to-date on being clean and sterile in the dental office. We have lived thru the AIDS/Blood borne Pathogen rules and now we will adapt to the new CDC Air Borne Transmission Based precautions. In fact, that’s what we’ve been doing while we were unable to see patients! Currently, we are waiting on the newly recommended Personal Protection Equipment to include more efficient suction units for aerosol control, disposable patient and staff gowns, as well as protocols to ascertain staff as well as patient safety.
Some of the changes you will notice will include the following:
- Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions.
- We will have plenty of hand sanitizer that we’ll ask you to use when you arrive at the office.
- Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. This might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment.
- You may notice that we’ve taken our toys and magazines out of the waiting room, because the idea is to not have you wait! We will probably have you call us when you arrive for your appointment to ascertain no congestion occurs with other patients.
We look forward to having you visit our newly renovated office with all it’s clean walls, new carpet and floors that we were working on right before CoVid-19 closed us down. We appreciate your continued confidence in us and welcome any questions or concerns you might have. Keeping you and my staff safe has always been top priority to me!
